- posted job should be a skilled job
- recruitment efforts should have been made and properly documented
- proof of business operations to show its legitimacy
Submission by employer
Employer gets the LMIA approved which proves:
- that there is no one available locally to do that job and a foreign worker is needed
- Positive LMIA is called confirmation letter as well
Steps for candidate:
Candidate will apply for work permit once they have:
- received the LMIA with LMIA number
- a valid job offer from an employer in Canada
- a contract
